These adapters convert eyepieces with small eyeguards to larger eyeguards, so DIOPTRX™ can be installed.

Since we introduced our Plössls in 1980, they have won praise and patents, including a patent in Japan. Tele Vue Plössls, designed by Al Nagler, have been a recognized benchmark of performance and value in the class of 50° apparent field of view eyepieces.

Tele Vue Dioptrx compensate for astigmatism on a wide range of the Tele Vue eyepieces.

Properly designed Barlows do wonderful things: They amplify power, slow the telescope's f/# (improving eyepiece sharpness), and give designers the opportunity to compensate for eyepiece aberrations.

Tele Vue's philosophy of "showing no field unless it's fine" stresses full field image quality as the ingredient for impressive views. Blackened lens edges, anti-reflection threads and rubber eyeguards deliver maximum contrast.

This Sky & Telescope "Hot Product" is designed to produce the largest true field possible in a 1¼" eyepiece. (Its 27mm field stop is the same as the 32mm Tele Vue Plössl).

Concept: Just as Delos eyepieces were developed based on Tele Vue's Ethos eyepiece design advancements, DeLite is the logical step toward a smaller, more economical and lightweight version of Delos.

Al Nagler's 4-element concept, continues the tradition of full-field sharpness with optimum aberration control. Like long eye-relief? Retain the eye-relief of long focal length eyepieces, while at high power.

The Delos was conceived as a narrower field Ethos. Reducing the field to 72° allowed freedom to increase eye-relief, while controlling pupil aberrations, all without making the eyepiece too large.

The concept for this eyepiece series was proposed by Tele Vue President David Nagler, with performance parameters giving it the fundamental characteristics (the ethos) of a Tele Vue eyepiece: high contrast, comfortable eye relief and full field sharpness.
