Focal Reducers

With the Apex ED reducer, an f/5.5 apo refractor becomes an incredibly fast f/3.6 astrograph. A slower f/9 telescope like an RC becomes a speedy f/5.9 system.

This 0.7x Reducer has been specifically designed for the ASKAR FRA600 f5.6 APO telescopes to achieve a very fast f/3.9 focal ratio.

The new 3" full-frame reducer for 140PH APO is equipped with a solid body made of quality metal. It can effectively shorten the original f/6.5 focal ratio to f/4.8

The exact focal length of the reducer/telescope combo depends slightly on where in the optical path the SCT Corrector lens is placed. Nominally it will be within a few mm of the rear threads on the telescope. Changing this distance should only affect the focal length, not the optical quality
